OnePlus India Rejects Claims of Dismantling

Following widespread industry speculation regarding the future of the smartphone brand, OnePlus India has issued a definitive statement denying reports that the company is being “dismantled.” Robin Liu, the CEO of OnePlus India, took to social media to categorically reject the allegations, assuring stakeholders that operations remain unaffected.
The response comes less than 24 hours after a controversial report by Android Headlines claimed that parent company OPPO was planning to wind down the OnePlus brand. In a statement shared on the X platform, Liu described these claims as “false” and “unverified.”
He emphasized that the brand is not shutting down and that business operations continue as normal, directly countering the narrative that OnePlus is being quietly removed from the market.
“We urge all stakeholders to verify information from official sources before sharing unsubstantiated claims,” the statement read, highlighting the company’s frustration with the rapid spread of the unconfirmed rumors.
While OnePlus India has been quick to address the situation—reiterating previous comments made to Android Authority about the stability of its business—industry observers note a discrepancy in global communication.
While Liu’s message provides clarity for the Indian market, which is a stronghold for the brand, the company’s US arm has yet to release a similar public rebuttal regarding its specific regional plans. However, the strong wording from the OnePlus India executive suggests that the core global brand is not facing the imminent dissolution described in recent reports.
