Galaxy S26 Ultra to get 25W wireless charging, ending six-year 15W streak

Galaxy S26 Ultra

Samsung’s Galaxy S26 Ultra is poised to receive a meaningful wireless-charging bump to 25W, ending a six-year streak at 15W on Galaxy S flagships. That’s according to @Jukanlosreve (X), who reports the Ultra model will finally move beyond Samsung’s long-standing ceiling on inductive charging power.

What the upgrade means

  • From 15W → 25W: On paper, a move to 25W can trim charging time by up to ~40% versus 15W under similar battery conditions. A session that takes 100 minutes at 15W could drop to roughly 60 minutes at 25W (real-world times vary by thermal limits, battery state, and charger quality).

  • First increase since S20 era: Samsung has held the line at 15W wireless since the Galaxy S20 generation. The S26 Ultra’s step-up would mark the company’s first wireless-charging speed upgrade in six years.
