Xiaomi 15T and 15T Pro: Leaked Specs Point to a Major Camera and Battery Upgrade
As anticipation builds for Xiaomi’s next Xiaomi 15T series release, a significant new leak has surfaced, offering a detailed look at the camera, battery, and charging specifications for the upcoming new Android phones Xiaomi 15T and 15T Pro. While the company has yet to officially confirm the new lineup, these details, shared by tipster PaperKing14, suggest a powerful successor to last year’s 14T series, likely set for a September debut.
Xiaomi 15T Pro: Flagship Camera and Fast Charging
According to the leak, the Xiaomi 15T Pro will feature a highly capable triple-camera system. It is expected to be headlined by a 50-megapixel OmniVision OVX9100 primary sensor, the same one rumored for the mainline Xiaomi 15. This will be complemented by a 50-megapixel Samsung JN5 telephoto camera and a 13-megapixel OV13B ultrawide lens. For selfies, the device will reportedly use a Samsung S5KKDS front-facing camera.
Internally, the 15T Pro is said to house a massive 5,500mAh battery, supported by fast 90W wired charging, promising both longevity and quick top-ups.
Xiaomi 15T: Shared Strengths with a Key Difference
The standard Xiaomi 15T is expected to inherit much of the Pro model’s DNA, including the same impressive 5,500mAh battery, though with slightly slower 67W charging support.
The camera setup will also be largely similar, featuring the same telephoto and ultrawide lenses. The key difference will be the primary sensor, which is expected to be a 50-megapixel OmniVision OVX8000.
Chipset Speculation
Drawing parallels from the previous generation, where the Xiaomi 14T and 14T Pro were powered by Dimensity 8300 Ultra and Dimensity 9300 Plus chips, respectively, speculation points to a similar strategy for the new series. The standard Xiaomi 15T could likely be equipped with a chip from the Dimensity 8400 series, while the more powerful Xiaomi 15T Pro may arrive with the flagship Dimensity 9400 Plus chipset.
