Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 Price Leaks Reveal a Steep Increase in Europe

Galaxy Z Fold7 price hike

After some speculations, it appears that we will soon see the Galaxy Z Fold7 price hike. Ahead of the anticipated launch of Samsung’s next-generation foldable smartphones, preliminary retailer listings in Italy have potentially revealed the European pricing for the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Z Flip7, suggesting a considerable increase for the upcoming flagship devices.

The leak, first spotted by NieuweMobiel, originates from an Italian retail website where the devices were listed under codenames to prevent early discovery of the Galaxy Z Fold7 price hike. Despite Samsung’s efforts, the codenames “Q7” and “B7” were identified as the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Galaxy Z Flip7, respectively.

According to the listings, the Galaxy Z Fold7 will be priced at €2,227 for the 256GB model and €2,309 for the 512GB version. These prices, which include Italy’s 22% VAT, represent a steep €200 increase over the launch prices of their predecessors for both storage configurations.

The Galaxy Z Flip7 is also set for a price bump, with the 512GB model listed at a price approximately €100 higher than the equivalent Galaxy Z Flip6.

While the appearance of the devices in a retail system lends credibility to the leak, this information should be approached with some skepticism until an official announcement is made. The price hikes, particularly for the Galaxy Z Fold7, seem drastic.

However, the increase could be part of a broader strategy. If persistent rumors about the launch of a more affordable Galaxy Z Flip7 FE model prove true, Samsung may be positioning its main flagship foldables at a higher premium, justifying the price gap with a less expensive alternative in its portfolio.
