Find My Device App is now Find Hub, with New Features
|Google has officially started rolling out the rebranding of its Find My Device app, now called Find Hub, as announced during last week’s The Android Show. Users will notice that the old “Find Device” label has been replaced by “Find Hub” across their devices.
This name change reflects the app’s expanded functionality. In addition to locating devices, Find Hub now allows users to locate people as well — a feature that was previously labeled as “Beta.” With the new update, that label has been removed, signaling a more stable and finalized version of the feature.
Within the updated app, users will find two main options under Settings: “Find Hub” and “Google Location Sharing.” The Find Hub section leads to the familiar Find My Device settings, where users can manage features like Remote Lock, offline finding, and access the web version (which now also uses the Find Hub name).
The Google Location Sharing section, on the other hand, provides access to manage location sharing preferences once users have opted to share their location through a Google service or app.
Beyond the rebranding, Google is continuing to enhance Find Hub with new features. As previously announced, support for satellite connectivity and ultra-wideband (UWB) tracking is on the way, promising more accurate and dependable location tracking in the near future.
