“Ask Gemini” to be available just by selecting the text
|Artificial intelligence is entering our digital lives en masse. One of the key players on the global stage in this field is certainly Google with their Gemini. Although far from perfect and precise, Gemini can often help you out with solving simpler tasks.
Well, using the Gemini platform on Android phones will soon become even simpler. Instead of typing a question, or copying and pasting it into a separate application or web browser, it will soon be enough to select text or a part of it for Gemini analysis. Similar to how you now get a floating menu for copying or translating, after selection, you will soon be able to “Ask Gemini” directly.
The first information about this was dug up from the APK file of the Google App (16.8.31.sa.arm64 beta). According to information at the moment, the feature has been successfully tested on Chrome, Firefox, and Samsung Internet browsers for Android. Given that Gemini works at the operating system level, it is expected that a similar feature will be available in other applications as well.
