HMD will bring Vibe in the US
|HMD also plans to introduce the Pulse in the US, albeit under a different name. The HMD Vibe will occupy the entry-level position and is scheduled for release sometime in May.
While availability remains uncertain, some hardware details have been disclosed. The Vibe features a 6.56-inch IPS LCD display panel with a 90 Hz refresh rate and HD+ resolution. HMD has equipped the device with a 13-megapixel main camera, accompanied by a 2-megapixel depth camera, while the front houses a 5-megapixel sensor.
For the US market, the device will utilize the Snapdragon 680 system chip paired with 6 gigabytes of RAM and 128 gigabytes of storage space. The phone also includes a memory card slot.
Powering the Vibe is a 4000 milliampere-hour battery, rechargeable via the USB-C connector with a 10-watt charger. Additionally, the Vibe features a headphone jack and runs on the latest Android 14 operating system. Other notable features include Bluetooth 5.0, 4G connectivity, and an IP52 rating for water and dust resistance.
