Renders of the first HMD-branded smartphone leak months ahead of launch

After renaming all of their Nokia Mobile social media pages to HMD, seems like the Finnish company is just about ready to launch its first devices. A render of what supposedly be an HMD smartphone appeared on 91Mobiles.

Since last year, a number of unreleased HMD smartphones have been leaked on multiple sources. One of the more popular was the M-Kopa X1. However, according to 91Mobiles, the render they exclusively leak belongs to a smartphone with model number N195V.

Our team were also able to learn a little more about the device. Although nothing major, an XML file of HMD Global page reveals that the N195V is going to have a Full HD+ display. However, while the render shows the device with the HMD logo, the XML file reveals that it might also be branded with Nokia logo.

Based on the render, it is quite possible that the N195V is going to be a midrange unit. For the first time in many years, HMD is abandoning the waterdrop notch in exchange for a more sophisticated punch-hole panel. The render also revealed that the back panel is going to be a textured matte-polycarbonate, at least based on our judgement. There will also be a dual-camera system which could possibly house a sensor with an ultra-wide lens.

According to 91Mobiles, HMD is expected to launch the device in India by April.
