Nokia X30 with Android 14 popped up on Geekbench
|Nokia Mobile, or HMD Global now on some social channels, has never shared the roadmap for Android 14 updates. It has been a while since the latest version of the most popular smartphone OS was released and made available on phones from several major brands. However, there have been some signs that HMD is working on the update, as the Nokia G42 5G popped up on Geekbench with Android 14. Since then, nothing has changed, and God knows I’ve been checking ?.
Now, the Nokia X30 has shown up on Geekbench running Android 14, suggesting that HMD might even push Android 14 for several phones at once. The Nokia X30 scored 919 points on the single-core and 2170 on the multi-core test. The results themselves are decent for its Snapdragon 695 5G, built on a 6nm process.
The exact release date of Android 14 isn’t known, but it seems to me that the update will be coming before MWC 2024 for all eligible models. At least that is what I would do.
Anyways, HMD is pretty busy now as updates with the December patch are coming in rapidly for all models. The Nokia XR20 just got a new A13 Build V3.410, which is 2.34 GB heavy and, besides the usual UI improvements and system stability, brings the December patch to the first super-tough Nokia smartphone.
