Nokia Mobile has a hard time breaking into supply chain because of the still on going COVID-19 pandemic. This is bad for their newest release, the Nokia 5.3 and Nokia 8.3 5G, which was shoved to shelves, and already months delayed for shipment. However, we found out that some online stores in Europe already starts listing the Nokia 5.3, with shipment available in less than a week from now.
Apparently, these Nokia 5.3 (the one listed for European online shops) ship with April Security patch, build number 00WW_0_630. However, we were tipped that a Nokia 5.3 from China already starts receiving May maintenance update, build number V1.120. This new MR will come in a decent size of 92.55MB, and will have no noticeable changes in UI other than fixes in security, and some further performance enhancement and stability for the device.
Since there is yet any plans for global release, we expect to see the Nokia 5.3 shipping with May maintenance release for the rest of the world. Or if things hasn’t change for Nokia Mobile, we may even see it coming with maintenance release for the coming months.
