Nokia 7.2 and 6.2 will have the same design, confirm real-life photos of cases

Next week, Nokia Mobile is set to announce a bunch of new devices, including smartphones and feature phones. In terms of smartphones, rumors mention a Nokia 5.2, 6.2 and 7.2. The latest info posted online confirms that we will see the Nokia 6.2 and 7.2, and they will share the same housing.

Tech reporter Roland Quandt from winfuture.de shared via Twitter photos of the clear protective case of Nokia 6.2 and Nokia 7.2. It’s a single case, official Nokia Mobile accessory, that fits for both devices, suggesting both phones will come in the same housing and feature the same design.

The back of the case reveals the huge hole for the circular camera housing and rear fingerprint sensor,  while the cases overall look a bit bulky. The headphone jack cutout is present and Roland puts the screen size at around 6.4-inches.

We already saw a lot of similar-looking Nokia phones, mainly the Nokia 2.2, 3.2 and 4.2. Having both the 6.2 and 7.2 in the same housing might be confusing a bit, but naming them 6.2 and 7.2, instead of 6.2 and 6.2 Plus suggests that the 7.2 should come with more powerful hardware.

We will know everything on 5th September when HMD’s IFA2019 press conference in Berlin is scheduled.
