HMD submits three new designs to EUIPO for protection

The creator of new Nokia phones, HMD Global, submitted new design patents to the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) for protection. The three new patents carry the design numbers: 005256740-0001, 005258308-0001, 005259843-0001, and were all submitted during May. As always, because the patents were recently filed, we don’t have any info about them, besides the design number and filing date.

At the moment, there are six unknown designs that HMD applied for protection to EUIPO, but they haven’t been fully published. These three new come at a time when we hear rumors about the Nokia 3 (2018), Nokia 5 (2018), and the Nokia X6, HMD’s first device with the notch that should be announced in China on 16th May. It’s good to see HMD adding new design patents, because this means that more phones are coming to our way.
