Dual VoLTE soon to be enabled on Nokia 7 plus
|HMD’s Chief Product Officer Juho Sarvikas, in a reply on Twitter, announced that the new Nokia 7 plus will soon support Dual VoLTE, or in other words 4G LTE on the second SIM card. If you’re using a Dual-SIM phone, with both SIM cards, you probably noticed that you can use just one SIM card for 4G LTE connection. Qualcomm’s latest processors like Snapdragon 636 and 660 support Dual VoLTE, or in other words using both SIMs on a 4G network.
Thanks Sid for the awesome review and don’t worry, 2nd sim will support LTE shortly!

Dual VoLTE will be a very popular feature on markets were 4G-only operators are present, like Jio in India that only has a 4G network. This feature should soon be enabled on the Dual-SIM variants of the new Nokia 7 plus, probably via an over-the-air update. No exact time period was given, so stay tuned. 🙂
