Android Oreo Beta open for Nokia 5 via Nokia Beta Labs; Soon for 6, too
Juho Sarvikas, HMD’s CPO, just announced on Twitter that Nokia Beta Labs are open for Nokia 5 and that interested users, who want to help HMD fix all bugs in the upcoming Oreo update and are aware of the risks of installing a beta OS, can now download Android 8.0 Oreo in beta version.

If you’re interested in testing Oreo Beta on your device, knowing the risk is on you, head to Nokia Beta Labs pages where you can sign up for the program to download to OS. Users of Nokia 6 will soon be available to join the Beta Labs, just like the owners of Nokia 5. My guess is that HMD finished the beta build for Nokia 5 before the one for the 6 (which is obvious), but decided to release the 5 because of huge pressure from users that want to test the latest Android version (just guessing).
