Samsung’s next flagship lineup is gradually taking shape ahead of its expected early-2026 debut. Fresh certification records have offered a first look at the batteries believed to power the Galaxy S27 Pro and Galaxy S27 Ultra, pointing to larger capacities for both high-end models.

Certification reveals battery details

Batteries linked to the Galaxy S27 Pro and Galaxy S27 Ultra have reportedly passed safety certification in South Korea through the country’s consumer product safety agency, Safety Korea. The Galaxy S27 Pro battery carries the model number EB-BS957CBY, while the Galaxy S27 Ultra unit is listed as EB-BS958DBY.

The certification images do not clearly reveal the batteries’ exact capacities. However, earlier leaks indicate that the Galaxy S27 Pro could use a 5,087mAh battery, while the Galaxy S27 Ultra may house a 5,534mAh cell.

Samsung could market those batteries with nominal capacities of 5,200mAh and 5,800mAh, respectively. Both units are said to be manufactured in China by Zhuhai CosMX Power.

Larger batteries across the lineup

If the reported figures prove accurate, the Galaxy S27 Ultra would receive a meaningful battery upgrade. Its rumored 5,534mAh rated capacity represents an increase of roughly 16 percent compared with the Galaxy S26 Ultra.

The Galaxy S27 Pro is also expected to gain capacity, with its reported battery representing an approximately 6 percent increase over the Galaxy S26+. The changes suggest Samsung may be prioritizing endurance in its next generation of premium phones.

Charging may stay familiar

Despite the larger batteries, Samsung is not expected to dramatically change its charging approach. Both the Galaxy S27 Pro and Galaxy S27 Ultra are rumored to support 60W wired fast charging and 25W wireless charging.

That would give the Pro model a notable charging improvement, while the Ultra’s wired charging speed would remain in line with its predecessor. As always, these details remain unofficial, and Samsung has yet to confirm the Galaxy S27 Pro, its battery specifications, or the final launch schedule.
