Galaxy F70 5G Confirmed: Samsung Brings Premium AI and OIS to the Sub-₹20K Market

Galaxy F70

Samsung is officially expanding its mid-range portfolio in India with the upcoming Galaxy F70 5G, scheduled to launch on October 18. Following the release of the F70e in February and the F70 Pro in August, a newly published Flipkart microsite confirms that the standard Galaxy F70 will target the highly competitive sub-INR 20,000 (approximately $225) market segment.

Marketed under Samsung’s “designed and made in India” initiative, the F70 5G brings surprisingly premium hardware to a budget-friendly price point. The device features an incredibly slim 7.5mm chassis with a dust- and splash-resistant build, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus. It will be available in two distinct colorways: Vivid Violet and Bold Black.

Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by the Exynos 1330 chipset and fueled by a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 25W wired fast charging. The visual experience is anchored by an FHD+ Super AMOLED display featuring a traditional waterdrop notch. For photography, Samsung is heavily promoting its “No Shake Cam”—a 50-megapixel primary sensor equipped with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS)—which is paired with a 5-megapixel ultrawide lens, a 2-megapixel macro sensor, and a 13-megapixel front-facing camera.

On the software front, Samsung is democratizing its latest AI and ecosystem features. The Galaxy F70 5G will launch with support for Google’s Circle to Search and Gemini, alongside Samsung Wallet (Tap and Pay), Quick Share, Voice Focus, and Knox security.

Industry watchers will quickly recognize the F70 5G’s underlying DNA. The confirmed specifications, 7.5mm thickness, and rear camera layout identically match the previously leaked Galaxy A17 5G. This rebranding strategy mirrors Samsung’s earlier move of launching the Galaxy A07 5G as the F70e. Assuming the F70 5G is a direct rebrand of the A17 5G, consumers can also expect a 6.7-inch display with a 90Hz refresh rate, configurations up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, and an impressive guarantee of six major Android OS updates.
