Honor Teases Magic 9 Pro Max Teleconverter Lenses with Stunning Mid-Autumn Night Shots

Honor is throwing down the gauntlet ahead of the Magic 9 Pro Max launch next week, showcasing the smartphone’s groundbreaking external lens capabilities while openly challenging competitors with the question: “Who else can do that?”

The upcoming flagship will introduce a specialized “Photography Master Set,” a hardware kit featuring two external teleconverter lenses designed to push the boundaries of mobile imaging. This accessory bundle includes the massive 500mm “Honor Giant Cannon” and the highly portable 200mm “Honor Thumb” lens.

To demonstrate the hardware’s potential, Honor’s Chief Imaging Engineer, Luo Wei, released a series of sample images captured during the 2026 Mid-Autumn Festival. The nighttime portfolio highlights the lenses’ ability to capture sharp, highly detailed shots of the full moon, crashing ocean waves, and coastal landscapes under low-light conditions.

According to the company, the 500mm Giant Cannon currently offers the longest focal length solution available for smartphone teleconverters, making it purpose-built for ultra-long-distance scenarios like lunar photography. Meanwhile, the 200mm Thumb lens prioritizes mobility without sacrificing optical reach, measuring just 81mm in length and weighing a mere 88 grams.
