The device supports 100W wired fast charging, which reportedly provides a full day’s worth of power in a mere 20 minutes. Crucially, Xiaomi states that this rapid charging doesn’t degrade the cell’s lifespan. The battery is rated to retain over 80% of its original capacity after 1,600 charge cycles, equating to roughly six years of daily use. It also doubles as a versatile power bank, supporting 27W wired reverse charging to juice up other devices.

Rugged “Titan” Durability

Beyond its battery, the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max is built to survive extreme conditions. Utilizing what Xiaomi calls the “Redmi Titan Structure,” the phone holds both IP66 and IP68 ratings for dust and water resistance.

In a testament to its waterproofing, the device passed a rigorous 72-hour underwater test at a depth of two meters, verified by TÜV SÜD, and even features a dedicated underwater photography mode. Drop protection is equally formidable; the display is shielded by Corning’s Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and carries an SGS certification for surviving drops from up to three meters.

To sweeten the deal, Xiaomi is offering an early-bird discount of 10,000 yen on both models through October 14th, dropping the entry price to a highly competitive $439.
