Xiaomi is gearing up for a major product expansion with the launch of the Redmi Note 17 series in Malaysia, officially scheduled for August 18, 2026. In a surprising move for the beloved mid-range franchise, the company is introducing an all-new top-tier device: the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max.

Positioned above the standard Note 17 and Note 17 Pro, the Pro Max model is poised to make waves with record-breaking battery life. According to official teasers from Xiaomi, the flagship device will be equipped with a colossal 10,000mAh silicon-carbon battery. This marks the largest power cell ever integrated into a Redmi Note smartphone, signaling a major shift toward multi-day endurance for power users.

Because a “Pro Max” variant has not yet been released in Xiaomi’s domestic Chinese market, this Malaysian debut appears to be a global-first addition to the Note 17 family.
