Samsung One UI 9.5 Leak Reveals Smoother Animations, Camera Redesign and App Mirroring

Samsung may still be rolling out the stable version of One UI 9.0 to much of its Galaxy lineup, but early details about the next interim update are already emerging. A new leak suggests that One UI 9.5 could bring visual refinements, smoother home-screen animations, a redesigned Camera interface and a native way to mirror Galaxy apps on Windows PCs.
Previous reports indicated that One UI 9.5 may introduce an App Lock feature alongside glass-inspired interface changes. The latest information points to a broader focus on polish rather than a major structural overhaul.
Smoother home-screen animations
According to leaker Fahad Ali Javed, One UI 9.5 improves animation fluidity across the home screen. The reported changes appear to be built into the software by default, rather than requiring users to enable custom tweaks through Samsung’s Good Lock suite and its Home Up module.

For Samsung users, this could be a notable improvement. Home-screen transitions, app-opening effects and navigation animations are among the most immediately visible parts of any interface update, even when the underlying feature list remains relatively modest.
New fingerprint visuals
Samsung is also said to be refreshing the appearance of the in-display fingerprint reader indicator. The updated visual design reportedly appears during the fingerprint-enrolment process, suggesting that the company is paying attention to small interaction details as part of the wider interface update.

The change may be minor, but it fits the apparent direction of One UI 9.5: improving the feel and consistency of the software rather than reinventing the Galaxy experience.
Camera app gets a more layered layout
The stock Camera app is another area expected to receive design changes. In the leaked build, tapping a quick camera setting reportedly opens its submenu as an overlay above the live viewfinder, instead of taking over more of the camera interface.
Samsung is also said to be placing quick camera controls and related menu options inside circular containers. Some settings may receive a gold-coloured accent, adding another visual distinction to the app.

The update could make camera controls easier to access while keeping more of the viewfinder visible. That would be particularly useful when users need to change settings quickly without losing sight of the frame they are trying to capture.
Finder and Google Search bars may reach older phones
One UI 9.5 may also expand a new home-screen search layout beyond Samsung’s newest foldable devices. The software reportedly includes separate Finder and Google Search bars, a feature that first appeared on the Galaxy Z Flip 8, Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra.
If Samsung brings the feature to older Galaxy models, users could gain quicker access to both device-wide Finder searches and web-based Google searches directly from the home screen. The final availability could still depend on model, region and launcher configuration.
Native Galaxy app mirroring for Windows
Perhaps the most practical feature uncovered in the leak is native app mirroring. One UI 9.5 could allow users to mirror an app running on a Galaxy phone directly to a Windows laptop.
The reported requirement is that both devices must be signed into the same Samsung Account. If implemented as described, the feature could make it easier to use messaging, productivity and other mobile apps on a larger screen without relying on third-party mirroring software.
Samsung has not officially confirmed the One UI 9.5 feature list, rollout schedule or device eligibility. As a result, all of the reported changes should be treated as preliminary. Still, the leak suggests that One UI 9.5 may be a meaningful refinement update, combining subtle design work with a few useful cross-device features.
