Vivo X300 FE Gets a Second Price Hike in India: Now Costs ₹10,000 More Than Launch

Vivo has once again quietly increased the price of its compact premium smartphone, the Vivo X300 FE. Consumers looking to purchase the device will now encounter a significantly higher price tag than what was advertised during its initial launch just a few months ago, signaling a definitive shift in the company’s pricing strategy for the Indian market.

The X300 FE originally debuted in May at ₹79,999 for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant, while the 12GB + 512GB model launched at ₹89,999. The company first adjusted these figures in July, raising them to ₹86,999 and ₹96,999, respectively.

Now, Vivo has implemented a second price hike of ₹3,000. On Flipkart and Vivo’s official website, the 12GB + 256GB model currently sits at ₹89,999, while the 512GB tier has breached the one-lakh mark at ₹99,999. This means the base model is now a staggering ₹10,000 more expensive than it was at launch, with no hardware upgrades to justify the premium.

Interestingly, as of this writing, Amazon has yet to reflect this latest increase, still listing the July prices (₹86,999 and ₹96,999)—creating a brief window of opportunity for savvy buyers to avoid the extra markup.

A New Entry Point and a Discontinued Sibling

To soften the blow of the escalating costs, Vivo is reportedly introducing a new 8GB + 256GB configuration priced at ₹84,999, which will now serve as the cheapest entry point into the X300 FE ecosystem.

Simultaneously, the standard Vivo X300 has virtually vanished from the Indian market. Originally launched at ₹75,999 in December, the standard model has been out of stock on Flipkart, Amazon, and Vivo’s own retail channels for weeks. With no signs of a restock, the device has essentially been discontinued, effectively removing Vivo’s presence from the sub-₹80,000 flagship space.

This pricing overhaul extends to the upper echelons of the lineup as well, with the premium X300 Pro having received its own ₹10,000 bump, currently retailing for ₹1,19,999.
