Nubia Confirms RedMagic 11 Air: The New King of Compact Gaming?
The boundary between slim lifestyle devices and heavy-duty gaming rigs is about to get a lot blurrier. Nubia has officially confirmed the imminent arrival of the RedMagic 11 Air, a device that aims to succeed the RedMagic 10 Air by pairing a lightweight chassis with uncompromising performance.
The confirmation comes directly from RedMagic’s Gaming Phone Product Manager, Jiang Chao. In a recent post on the Chinese social media platform Weibo, Chao acknowledged the existence of the new Air model, signaling that the marketing machine is now in motion. Chao also reposted information from the prolific industry insider Digital Chat Station, effectively validating leaked details regarding the phone’s launch window and core specifications.
A Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing
According to the leak, the RedMagic 11 Air is scheduled to make its debut in China in January 2026. What makes this device particularly interesting is its refusal to compromise on thermal management despite its “Air” branding.
While manufacturers typically strip away bulky features for their slim models, the RedMagic 11 Air will reportedly retain the brand’s signature active cooling turbofan. This is a critical addition for sustaining peak performance during long gaming sessions, a feature usually reserved for thicker, heavier flagship counterparts.
RedMagic 11 Air Under the Hood: 24GB of RAM
Powering the device will be Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, ensuring the phone sits at the top of the performance food chain. The silicon will reportedly be backed by up to 24GB of RAM, a massive memory pool that future-proofs the device for the most demanding mobile titles and multitasking workflows.
Visually, the phone is expected to maintain RedMagic’s commitment to immersion. It is rumored to sport a 6.85-inch AMOLED display that is entirely free of notches or cutouts, thanks to an under-display front camera.

Rounding out the package, leaks suggest the device will feature a 50MP primary rear camera and a “large battery,” though specific capacity figures have yet to be confirmed.
