Poco F8 Ultra Spotted on Geekbench with Top-Tier Snapdragon

Poco F8 Ultra

Poco appears to be preparing for a significantly earlier launch of its anticipated F8 flagship series, which could arrive well before the March anniversary of its predecessors. While the brand has made no official announcement, the signs are unmistakable: both the Poco F8 Ultra and Poco F8 Pro have already begun the global certification process.

Further fueling the rumors, a recent leak of the F8 Pro’s packaging revealed a strategic partnership, prominently featuring “Sound by Bose” branding.

Now, however, the spotlight has turned to the more powerful model, the Poco F8 Ultra, which has just surfaced on Geekbench. As is custom, this benchmark test reveals the device’s core hardware components. To the delight of many, it’s been confirmed that the phone will be powered by the latest and most powerful chipset on the market: the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5.

The prototype unit that was tested was paired with 16GB of RAM and ran Android 16, which Poco will undoubtedly layer with its HyperOS 3. These specifications clearly confirm that the F8 Ultra will be targeting the absolute peak of the performance market.

More Than Just Power: Is the F8 Ultra a Rebranded ‘Monster’?

What is perhaps more intriguing than the Geekbench scores is the widespread speculation that the Poco F8 Ultra is, in fact, a globally rebranded version of the recently unveiled Redmi K90 Pro Max.

If this speculation proves to be true, the Poco F8 Ultra won’t just be powerful; it will be a hardware behemoth. The Redmi model’s specifications include:

  • Display: 6.9-inch AMOLED (1200×2608), 120Hz, 3,500-nit peak brightness, and 2,560Hz PWM dimming.
  • Storage: Up to 1TB.
  • Cameras: A triple-camera system (50MP main with OIS, 50MP periscope telephoto with 5x optical zoom, 50MP ultrawide).
  • Selfie: 32MP front-facing camera.
  • Battery: A monstrous 7,560 mAh capacity with support for 100W wired and 50W wireless charging.

This theory gains further credibility when considering the “Bose” branding seen on the F8 Pro. Notably, the Redmi K90 Pro Max features a Bose sound system complete with two stereo speakers and a woofer on the back.
