Pixel 10 official: first telephoto on a base model

Google has officially lifted the curtain on the Pixel 10 family at its Made by Google event in Brooklyn, introducing the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL and Pixel 10 Pro Fold. Headline news: for the first time, the entry Pixel 10 gains a telephoto camera, closing one of the longest-standing gaps in Google’s lineup.

Design & hardware at a glance

At first glance the Pixel 10 mirrors last year’s silhouette, including the pill-shaped visor. Look closer and you’ll spot three rear sensors instead of two. The build keeps familiar durability touches, including Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and an IP68 rating, while biometric reliability should improve thanks to an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint reader.

Cameras: three lenses, one compromise

Adding a true optical telephoto on the base model is the big upgrade. Google offsets that win with a slightly downgraded ultrawide compared with last year.

Display: brighter, smoother

The Pixel 10 uses a 6.3-inch Actua LTPS panel at FHD+ with 120Hz refresh. It adapts between 60–120Hz and now pushes up to 2,000 nits in high brightness mode, aiding outdoor visibility.

Performance: new Tensor on TSMC 3nm

Under the hood is the Tensor G5—manufactured on TSMC’s 3nm process—paired with the Titan M2 security chip, 12GB RAM, and 128/256GB UFS 4.0 storage. Expect better efficiency and sustained performance, especially for AI-heavy tasks.

Battery & charging

Capacity ticks up to 4,970mAh. Wired charging climbs to 29W, and wireless moves to 15W Qi2, including support for the new Qi2-compatible Pixelsnap accessories shown at the event.

Software & updates

Shipping with Android 16, the Pixel 10 continues Google’s long-term promise: seven years of OS and security updates.
