Redmi Note 15 Pro+ Launches August 21 with Premium Design and Durability
Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi has officially confirmed the launch date of its next premium mid-ranger. The Redmi Note 15 Pro+ will make its debut on August 21 in China, with strong indications that the Note 15 and Note 15 Pro models will also be unveiled alongside it.
Design and Durability Take Center Stage
According to Redmi, the Note 15 Pro+ is designed to strike a balance between elegance and resilience. It is the company’s first smartphone to feature a symmetrical micro-curved design on both the front and back, giving it a sleeker aesthetic and a more comfortable grip.
Achieving this design reportedly required advanced glass-processing methods and heavy investment, something typically reserved for flagship-level devices. In terms of toughness, Redmi has equipped the phone with its most robust dual-side protection system to date. The front is shielded by Xiaomi’s Crystal Glass, while the back uses a reinforced fiberglass panel that keeps the phone lightweight yet highly resistant to bending and impact.
Redmi claims this combination delivers ten times better drop resistance compared to conventional builds. Impressively, the Note 15 Pro+ is also said to be the first device in the industry to survive a granite surface drop test from two meters, repeated 50 times, underscoring its durability credentials.
Expected Hardware and Features
While Redmi has not officially confirmed technical specifications, multiple leaks suggest that the Note 15 Pro+ could ship with a quad-curved OLED display supporting 1.5K resolution, paired with a triple-camera setup that includes a 50MP main sensor and a 50MP telephoto lens.
Under the hood, the device is tipped to feature the yet-to-be-announced Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset, with configurations offering up to 16GB of RAM. Power may come from a massive 7,000mAh battery with support for 90W fast charging, while software duties will likely be handled by HyperOS 2.0 based on Android 15. Satellite connectivity support is also rumored, hinting at broader functionality beyond conventional networks.
With its blend of sleek design, industry-first durability, and powerful rumored internals, the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ is shaping up to be one of the most ambitious entries in the Note series to date.
