OnePlus Nord 5 and CE5 Official: Specs, Price, and Features
|The OnePlus Nord series has solidified its place as a pillar of the brand, and now it’s entering its fifth generation with the arrival of the OnePlus Nord 5 and OnePlus Nord CE5. As expected, the Nord 5 comes with upgraded hardware and flagship-level features, while the Nord CE5 boasts the largest battery ever seen in a OnePlus phone—an impressive 7,100mAh.
OnePlus Nord 5: Performance Meets Elegance
The Nord 5 is centered around a vibrant 6.83-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a silky-smooth 144Hz refresh rate. The panel offers up to 1,800 nits of peak brightness and is protected by Gorilla Glass 7i. An in-display optical fingerprint sensor is included, and the phone features a high-resolution 50MP (Samsung JN5) selfie camera.
Under the hood, the Nord 5 is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, paired with either 8GB or 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and storage options of 256GB or 512GB (UFS 3.1). On the rear, you’ll find a dual camera setup: a 50MP (LYT-700) main sensor with OIS and an 8MP ultrawide lens. OnePlus has brought its advanced RAW HDR and Real Tone algorithms from the flagship 13 series for more accurate and dynamic photography.
The Nord 5 runs OxygenOS 15 based on Android 15 and debuts with the new OnePlus AI suite—featuring AI Eraser, AI Summary, AI Reply, and other Google Gemini-powered tools. The Open Canvas multitasking interface, first seen on the OnePlus Open, is also included.
A 6,800mAh battery fuels the device, supporting 80W fast charging and 5W reverse wired charging. The Nord 5 will be available in Marble Sands, Dry Ice, and Phantom Grey. Prices start at €449 for the 8/256GB variant and €499 for the 12/512GB version. Open sales begin today.
OnePlus Nord CE5: Setting a New Battery Standard
The Nord CE5 features a slightly smaller 6.77-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, peaking at 1,430 nits. An in-display fingerprint sensor and a 16MP (IMX480) front camera complete the package.
Inside, the Nord CE5 is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 8350 chip, paired with 8GB or 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 128GB or 256GB of expandable UFS 3.1 storage. But the standout is its 7,100mAh battery, a capacity typically reserved for tablets. OnePlus claims over 27 hours of YouTube playback, more than 18 hours on Instagram, and over 9 hours of gaming. Charging is equally impressive, with 80W SuperVOOC support and bypass charging for heat management.
The camera system features a 50MP (LYT-600) main shooter with OIS and an 8MP ultrawide (OV08D10) lens, both benefiting from OnePlus’ advanced imaging algorithms.
The Nord CE5 will be offered in Black Infinity, Marble Mist, and Nexus Blue. Pricing starts at €299 for the 8/128GB variant and goes up to €349 for the 8/256GB version. Open sales begin today.
