The handset refuses to compromise on raw performance either, as it is expected to be powered by one of the market’s most robust flagship chips, the mighty Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
While most modern premium devices from renowned brands like Apple, Samsung, and Google typically offer batteries hovering around the 5,000mAh mark, the upcoming Honor aims to set entirely new industry standards. This massive power cell significantly surpasses even Honor’s recent endurance-focused models. Over the past few months, the company has already introduced the Honor Win with a 10,000mAh battery and the Honor Power 2 featuring a 10,080mAh unit. If these latest claims prove accurate, the X80 GT will become the most energy-dense mainstream smartphone ever produced, making daily charging a thing of the past.
Concerns regarding prolonged charging times for such a massive capacity should be alleviated by the expected inclusion of 80W fast charging support. Complementing this energy supremacy and the processing power of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, the visual experience will reportedly be enhanced by a dazzling OLED display boasting a stunning peak brightness of 8,000 nits, similar to the panel found on the Power 2.
