Xiaomi India Confirms HyperOS 3 Rollout for Xiaomi 14, POCO F7, and More

Xiaomi India

Following the initial release for the Xiaomi 15 series, Xiaomi India has confirmed a wider expansion of the major OS update to legacy flagships and mid-range contenders.

Xiaomi India is rapidly expanding the reach of its latest operating system, HyperOS 3, based on the Android 16 architecture. Just weeks after the software debuted on the flagship Xiaomi 15 and 15 Ultra, a senior executive has confirmed that the rollout is now extending to a broader portfolio of devices, including models from sub-brands Redmi and POCO.

Sandeep Sarma, Associate Director of Marketing and PR at Xiaomi India, took to social media to verify the next wave of eligible devices. The announcement signals Xiaomi’s commitment to faster adoption rates for its new software skin, moving beyond just the latest premium handsets.

Xiaomi India Eligibility List

According to the official confirmation, the HyperOS 3 update is now being pushed to a diverse mix of smartphones and tablets. The list includes last year’s premium flagship, the Xiaomi 14, as well as budget-friendly options and the company’s latest tablet offering.

The devices confirmed to receive the HyperOS 3 update include:

  • Flagship Tier: Xiaomi 14

  • Tablets: Xiaomi Pad 7

  • Redmi Series: Redmi Note 14 5G, Redmi 13

  • POCO Series: POCO F7, POCO M7 Pro 5G

While reports of the Redmi Note 14 5G receiving the update had already begun to surface, this official acknowledgement cements the timeline for POCO users and Xiaomi 14 owners who have been waiting for the Android 16 transition.

What Does HyperOS 3 Bring to the Table?

HyperOS 3 is more than just a version number bump; it represents a significant refinement of Xiaomi’s user interface. Built on the Android 16 framework, the update focuses heavily on system stability and visual fluidity. Users can expect optimized animations across the UI, reducing stutter and improving the overall “feel” of navigation.

Key Feature: “HyperIsland” Perhaps the most consumer-facing addition in this update is the introduction of HyperIsland. Clearly inspired by the “Dynamic Island” concept popularized by competitors, this feature transforms the area around the front camera into an interactive pill-shaped hub.

HyperIsland is designed to display live activities in real-time, allowing users to glance at essential information without opening apps. Supported functionalities include:

  • Media playback controls

  • Active timers and stopwatches

  • Ongoing call status

  • Navigation prompts

As the rollout progresses, users on the eligible devices are advised to check their system settings for the Over-the-Air (OTA) notification.
