Samsung and Swiggy Expand Partnership: Galaxy Tablets and Watches Now Available in 10 Minutes

The gap between desiring a new gadget and holding it in your hand continues to shrink. In a significant move to strengthen its hyper-local retail strategy, Samsung has announced a major expansion of its partnership with Indian quick-commerce giant, Swiggy Instamart. Effective immediately, the 10-minute delivery service, which was previously limited to select Galaxy smartphones, will now cover a much broader spectrum of the Samsung ecosystem.
This expansion marks a pivotal shift in how consumer electronics are retailed in one of the world’s largest markets, moving beyond the traditional 24-hour delivery window of standard e-commerce to near-instant gratification.
Beyond Smartphones: The Ecosystem on Demand
Earlier this year, Samsung tested the waters by offering select Galaxy handsets for rapid delivery. Following the success of that pilot, the South Korean tech behemoth is now making its tablets, smartwatches, and wireless earbuds available for doorstep delivery in minutes.
The expanded inventory on the Swiggy Instamart app now includes:
-
Galaxy Tablets: Ideally positioned for professionals or students needing an immediate device replacement.
-
Wearables: Galaxy Watches and Galaxy Buds.
-
Essential Accessories: A range of peripherals including official wall chargers, USB cables, and power banks.
The Strategy: Capitalizing on “Need it Now” Consumer Behavior
This move is designed to cater to specific, high-urgency use cases where traditional e-commerce logistics fall short. Samsung envisions this service as a solution for travelers realizing they forgot a charger just before heading to the airport, or professionals who need a replacement device immediately after an accident.
By integrating deeply with Swiggy’s extensive last-mile logistics network, Samsung is effectively transforming local dark stores into mini-warehouses for premium tech, aiming to capture the impulse buy market and emergency requirement segment simultaneously.
Leadership Perspective
Rahul Pahwa, Director of Samsung MX in India, highlighted that this move is central to the company’s omnichannel evolution.
“At Samsung, we are driven by meaningful innovations that are accessible to everyone,” Pahwa stated. “Our partnership with Instamart is another step towards strengthening our omnichannel strategy and making the Galaxy experience available to users in a matter of minutes. We are bringing our most loved devices closer to the users.”
Consumers in covered regions can access this inventory immediately by downloading the Swiggy Instamart app via the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
