Oppo Reno 15 Series: Confirmed Budget Phones for December Debut

Oppo Reno 15

Oppo officially teased its new Oppo Reno 15 series in China today, introducing the standard Reno 15 and the high-end Reno 15 Pro. The new flagship-level devices are headlined by powerful MediaTek processors, massive batteries, and a formidable 200MP camera system. In a “one more thing” moment at the event, the company also confirmed a third model, the Reno 15c, will join the lineup in late December.

While the Reno 15 and 15 Pro took center stage, Oppo teased the upcoming Reno 15c, describing it as an “entry-level choice” that will prioritize “trendy design, smooth performance, and reliable everyday quality.”

Though specifications for the 15c remain under wraps, a design preview showed a device bearing a strong resemblance to its premium siblings, complete with a glossy back finish. A subtle change in the camera module, which places the LED flash at the bottom instead of the top, is the only visible differentiator from the main Reno 15 models.

The Flagship Oppo Reno 15 & 15 Pro: A Spec Deep-Dive

The newly launched Reno 15 and 15 Pro are built around MediaTek’s Dimensity 8450 processor, with configurations offering up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage.

The primary differences lie in the display and battery:

  • Reno 15 Pro: The top-tier model features a 6.78-inch 1.5K OLED panel with an adaptive 1Hz-120Hz refresh rate. It is powered by a substantial 6500mAh battery and supports 80W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging.

  • Reno 15 (Standard): The standard model is equipped with a slightly more compact 6.32-inch 1.5K OLED display. It houses a 6200mAh battery and supports 80W wired fast charging, omitting wireless charging.

A Shared, Powerful Camera System

Both the 15 and 15 Pro share an identical and impressive camera array, signaling a strong focus on photography for the entire series. This setup includes:

  • 200MP Main Camera

  • 50MP Ultra-wide Sensor

  • 50MP 3.5x Periscope Telephoto Camera

  • 50MP Front-facing Camera (capable of 4K video recording)

Oppo also introduced a special Starlight variant, which uses a holographic lithography finish under ice-clear glass, a design intended to reduce smudges and fingerprints.

Both models are built with a metal frame and boast robust IP66, IP68, and IP69 protection ratings. Additional shared features include stereo speakers, an infrared blaster, an in-display fingerprint scanner, and the new Android 16 operating system with ColorOS 16.
