Honor 500 Pro: Everything We Know About the Specs Ahead of Launch

Honor 500 Pro

New details about the upcoming premium smartphone, the Honor 500 Pro, have leaked ahead of its imminent launch. The Honor 500 series is expected to debut in China soon, and a strong sign that the unveiling is close is that pre-orders for both models (standard and Pro) are already open in that market.

While Honor recently officially revealed the design, colors, and available RAM/storage configurations, the technical specifications remained unknown. That gap has now been filled by the well-known tipster Digital Chat Station (DCS), who revealed the powerful specifications expected in the Pro model.

Honor 500 Pro Hardware Specifications (Rumored)

According to the DCS report, the Honor 500 Pro will be powered by the top-tier Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. Configurations will be available to users with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage.

In addition to the main processor, DCS notes that the Honor 500 Pro will feature two specialized chips: a custom C1 modem (likely for enhanced connectivity) and an E2 energy management chip, which should optimize power consumption.

The claims regarding the battery and camera are particularly noteworthy. The device will reportedly be equipped with an 8,000 mAh silicon battery, which is significantly above the industry average. The rear of the device will be dominated by a 200-megapixel main camera sensor.

Display and Other Features

Digital Chat Station also reveals details about the screen. The Honor 500 Pro will reportedly feature a 6.55-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a high resolution of 2736 x 1264 pixels.

Among other features, a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint scanner integrated into the display is also mentioned.

Given that pre-orders are already active and the specifications are now public, Honor is expected to reveal the official launch date for the 500 series soon.
