HyperOS 3 Global released: new UI, AI tools and cross-device features

HyperOS 3 Global

Xiaomi has released the global version of HyperOS 3 Global, based on Android 16, on September 24, 2025, following its initial debut in China on August 28. The update brings interface refinements, new AI tools, tighter cross-device integration and performance optimizations aimed at phones, tablets, and wearables across Xiaomi, Redmi and POCO lines.

What’s new in the interface

HyperOS 3 introduces a refreshed UI with redesigned icons and subtle status bar tweaks for battery and signal indicators. A new feature called Hyper Island debuts globally as a dynamic hub for notifications and live activities, offering quick interaction without opening apps.

Performance and efficiency

Xiaomi claims up to 30% better performance optimization versus prior software builds. The improvements target system responsiveness, app launch times and sustained fluidity, though results will vary by device and configuration.

AI features and media tools
HyperOS 3 adds on-device and cloud-assisted AI capabilities intended to streamline routine tasks:
• AI note writing for fast drafting and summaries
• AI describe for image and object descriptions
• AI voice translation for real-time communication
• AI noise reduction to improve recorded audio
• System-wide AI search across apps and files

In the gallery, AI search can surface photos by content. AI Dynamic Wallpapers, now available globally, can turn selected images into short animated backgrounds.

HyperOS 3 Global Cross-device integration

The update expands device-to-device connectivity. Users can share files by bringing phones close together, forward calls and SMS across devices, and mirror or share screens—including integration with laptops such as Apple’s MacBook—to reduce friction between ecosystems.

Rollout schedule

Xiaomi plans a three-phase global rollout from October 2025 through March 2026. Timing and availability will depend on region and model.

Phase 1 (October–November 2025): initial wave covering selected phones, tablets and wearables, including models such as Xiaomi 15T Pro, Xiaomi Pad Mini and Xiaomi Watch S4 41mm.
Phase 2 (November–December 2025): expands to additional devices, including Xiaomi 14 Ultra, POCO F6 Pro and several Redmi phones.
Phase 3 (December 2025–March 2026): broader coverage across earlier generations, including Xiaomi 13 Ultra, Redmi Note 14 5G and POCO Pad 5G.

HyperOS 3 Global Availability

Eligible devices will receive an OTA update as the rollout progresses. Exact features may differ by market, carrier and device capabilities; some AI functions may require specific hardware or additional downloads.
