Honor Magic V5: Official Look at the Thinnest Foldable Ever
|Honor is ramping up its teaser campaign for the upcoming Magic V5, set to be unveiled on July 2nd in Shenzhen, China. The latest official glimpse reveals an impossibly thin design and a prominent camera island, hinting at a new era for foldable smartphones.
The company has now shared the first official look at the Honor Magic V5 in its folded state, showcasing an incredibly sleek profile. This design is crucial, as Honor is teasing the Magic V5 as the world’s thinnest foldable smartphone. This would mean it surpasses the current slimmest contender, the Oppo Find N5, which measures 8.9mm when folded and 4.2mm unfolded.
Beyond its svelte form factor, the new teaser also promises “PC-level productivity” and Honor’s most powerful AI features to date. While these claims are ambitious, they suggest a significant focus on both performance and intelligent functionalities.
Rumors have been swirling that the large camera island visible in the teaser will house a 200MP periscope telephoto module, indicating a strong emphasis on photographic capabilities.
As of now, Honor has yet to confirm a global launch for the Magic V5. We’ll be keeping a close eye on the July 2nd event for all the official details.
