Nokia Enterprise now has a new president, as Kathrin Buvac leaves Nokia
|Nokia Enterprise now has a new president, Raghav Sahgal, as Kathrin Buvac is on her way to leave Nokia, as they say, to pursue a leadership position at a global technology company. Along with the presidential role, Raghav Sahgal, who is currently the Senior Vice President of Nokia Software, has also been appointed as a member of the Nokia Group Leadership Team. Kathrin Buvac will be succeeded by Raghav Sahgal on June 1, 2020.
Raghav Sahgal has been associated with Nokia since April 2017, before that, he was the President of the Asia Pacific and Middle East regions at NICE Systems and also held numerous leadership positions at Oracle, Comverse, CSG, Kenan, and Lucent. While, Kathrin Buvac has been associated with Siemens, Nokia Siemens Networks, and then Nokia for about 20 years. She played a vital role in the turnaround of Nokia Siemens Networks and then in the acquisition of Alcatel-Lucent.
In the press release Nokia mentions something about the Nokia Enterprise division, saying that it helps its business customers in deploying industrial networks worldwide. In 2019, Nokia Enterprise had revenues of €1.4 billion, and has worked with some of the world’s largest webscale companies like BMW, Société du Grand Paris, Deutsche Bahn, SBB, Elektro, Florida Power & Light, UPMC, Lufthansa Technik, etc.
