The Nokia 4.2 was announced together with the Nokia 3.2 in February of this year at MWC2019, and it was Nokia Mobile’s first device with the digit 4. For consistency sake, Nokia Mobile skipped the Nokia 4 and 4.1 in the naming scheme and decided to call the device Nokia 4.2, which was a good decision, even though I would argue that Nokia 3.2 and Nokia 4.2 should’ve been combined into one device, but that’s a different story.
Nokia 4.2 started receiving the November security patch from Google this week. The November patch is around 75MB in size and the availability of it can be checked by going to Settings->System->System update.
I’m a bit disappointed we never had a chance to test the Nokia 4.2, because it seems like a nice-looking phone. We had a chance to play with it at MWC2019, though, and besides concluding that the 3.2 and 4.2 are too similar, we also liked both devices.
