Rumors: Nokia X5 launching 11th July; Snapdragon 710 and 845 powered phones coming in Q3 2018

Via the famous Nokia community in China, that operates on the Nokibar forum on Baidu, new info, and a promotional poster of an unannounced Nokia device appeared. When the first rumors about a mid range phone from Nokia with a notch started some months ago, the source was also mentioning that the device will come in variants with a Snapdragon and MediaTek processor. It is clear now that the MediaTek powered version is a bit lower placed in terms of specs, and should appear pretty soon.

A promotional poster for the Nokia X5 (that some call Nokia 5.1 plus) appeared in China, alongside the poster of the Nokia X6. From the picture (that is in low quality), one can see that the devices are different. The Nokia X5 features a big notch, and thanks to TENAA, we Know it has a lower resolution display and a MediaTek SoC. The original poster of the image claims the launch of the Nokia X5 is happening on July 11th this year.

The same source also stated that a Snapdragon 845 powered Nokia smartphone will be announced during the third quarter (Q3) this year, in which we currently are. We can also expect a Snapdragon 710 powered Nokia device in late Q3. That device could be the one codenamed Phoneix of which we heard something before.

Two days ago two unknown phones were certified in Russia, so it’s clear that by the end of this year we will see new devices. The questions are when, which devices and will they be available globally?
