3 unknown #Nokia devices certified in #Russia. Could it be the 7, 8 and 9?

Russian site mobiltelefon.ru reports that 5 unknown Nokia models have been certified by Russian Telecommunication’s equipment certification agency. HMD certified in pairs TA-1007 and TA-1029; TA-1013 and 1040, and TA-1005. HMD certified a bunch of other models as well, but they were easily identified to be the variants of Nokia 3, 5 and 6.

TA-1007 and TA-1029 are probably two variants of the same smartphone, just like the TA-1013 and TA-1040, probably a single SIM and a dual SIM version. The TA-1005 on the other hand could be the Nokia 3310 (2017) or a new phone, maybe even Nokia 9.

If I have to guess, I would say that the TA-1007/1029 and TA-1013/1040 could be the upcoming Nokia 7 and Nokia 8 smartphones, that per recent rumors could be announced next month. Qualcomm this week announced the processor Nokia 7 and 8 were rumored to have, the Snapdragon 660.

It would be a little awkward to introduce new phones next month, while the current lineup hasn’t been shipped yet. All in all, time will tell, but we know for sure HMD is working on new phones, and hopefully this year we will also see a Nokia-branded Android flagship.
