Government of Kuwait can upstream at #10Gbps thanks to @Nokia
|Nokia is doing great things in networks, and it can only get better wit latest acquisition of Alcatel-Lucent. But Nokia has been doing great job before by developing high-speed broadband services. The latest astonishing result comes from Kuwait, where in lab tests Nokia and The Government of Kuwait successfully achieved the speed of 10 Gbps upstream over a single fiber. Nokia developed XGS-PON technology, and those letters aren’t randomly chosen, but mean X=10, G=Gigabit, S=Symmetrical Passive Optical Network. While I’m still not possible to reach 2 Mbps of upload on my network provider, it is good to know that Nokia is working on speeds beyond my wishes.
